Double Vanity Marble Bathroom in Centennial

Gray marble wall tiles with dual white floating vanities and brushed gold towel radiator in a Centennial CO bathroom

About This Project

This primary bathroom in a Centennial home in the Willow Creek subdivision had been updated once before but still had builder-grade tile from the early 2000s. The homeowners wanted a full-height marble-look treatment that would tie the wall tile, the two floating vanities, and the brushed gold hardware into a single cohesive space.

The wall tile is a large-format gray marble-look porcelain in a 24x48 format. The key installation challenge with this space was aligning the tile joints symmetrically between the two vanities. When you look straight into the bathroom, the tile joints needed to be centered on the mirror centerlines and the grout lines needed to read as continuous across both vanity sections despite the gap between them. We planned the layout from the center of the room outward and adjusted the starting course height to place full tiles at the vanity deck height.

The floor tiles are a large-format light gray to maintain the marble family while providing a lighter base that makes the room feel more open.

What We Did

  1. Established a center reference line between the two vanity positions and planned tile layout from that axis
  2. Set wall tile using a tile leveling system to maintain flush joints across the full wall height
  3. Installed floor tile with a 1/8 inch joint and a coordinating light gray grout
  4. Applied Schluter Rondec trim at all outside corners and a Schluter Schiene transition at the threshold
